Your ChatGPT is activated —
now what?

Confirm your upgrade, get to know Plus / Pro, pick up a few practical tips and note your renewal date — then you're all set.

1. Confirm your activation

Once support tells you it's done, check it yourself in 3 steps

Sign in to the ChatGPT account you gave us

Open chatgpt.com or the ChatGPT app and sign in with the account email you entered when ordering. A different account won't show the upgrade.

Check your profile at the bottom left

Click your profile at the bottom left (in the app: top-left menu → profile). If you see a Plus or Pro badge next to your name, or the matching plan under "My plan", the upgrade worked.

Still seeing "Upgrade plan"?

First sign out and sign back in, or refresh the page / reopen the app so your account status syncs. If nothing changes, tap "Support" at the bottom right and contact us right away.

Activation takes about 5 minutes after payment verification — a little slower at peak times, always within 1 hour.

3. What ChatGPT Pro includes

Includes everything in Plus, plus:

  • Pro-exclusive reasoning mode: deeper computation for research, complex coding, long-form analysis and other hard tasks
  • Higher usage limits: much more headroom on flagship and reasoning models, so heavy use rarely hits the cap
  • Early access to new features: new OpenAI features and research previews usually reach Pro users first
  • Just for you: the account is yours alone, so your chats and settings are never mixed with anyone else's

Features and limits follow OpenAI's current plans. When OpenAI changes its plans, we'll update this page to match.

4. Practical tips

  • Switch models wisely: use the default model for everyday questions and switch to deep thinking when you need rigorous reasoning. You can switch any time from above the input box or in the model menu
  • Write clear prompts: give context, goals and constraints. Instead of "write a plan", try "write a marketing plan for a Hong Kong start-up with a HK$50,000 budget, targeting people aged 25–35"
  • Upload files directly: no need to copy and paste long documents — upload them and ask for key points, figures or a rewrite
  • Temporary chats: for conversations you don't want to keep, turn on "Temporary chat" and nothing is saved to your history
  • Custom instructions: tell it who you are, what you use it for and how you like answers in Settings, and every chat will follow them

5. Renewal reminders

Plans are monthly and drop back to the free tier if not renewed

ChatGPT membership runs month by month. When it expires, your account returns to the free tier — your chat history is not lost.

  • We suggest ordering again on this site 2–3 days before expiry using the same account email, and we'll renew the same account
  • No need to switch accounts or set anything up again
  • Want to renew every month? Message our support on WhatsApp / WeChat and we'll remind you before it expires
